FachPack 2021 highlights
In the Functional Paper Packaging segment, Sappi is showcasing its Guard and AvantGuard product families of barrier papers, which eliminate the need for additional special coatings or laminations thanks to integrated barriers. They can be recycled in the wastepaper stream. For the first time ever, Sappi is also presenting its AvantGuard S high-barrier paper with integrated heat-sealability.
Also new to the range is the Fusion Nature Plus uncoated, recyclable virgin-fibre liner. The product, with its high degree of whiteness, can be printed very well in flexo, digital and offset printing. Fusion Nature Plus is suitable for corrugated or solid board packaging where a bright white appearance is required for top liners, inner liners and fluting, or for the production of paper carrier bags.
Furthermore, Sappi has expanded its portfolio with the Parade Label Pro non-wet strength wet-glue label paper, which is suitable, for instance, for labels on disposable bottles, food and non-food containers as well as for wrappers on a variety of products. The paper is glossy, double-coated on one side and features a smooth surface with a high degree of brightness.
A wide range of kraft papers for flexible packaging is also being presented. One of the new products is the Crystalcon translucent paper, which is both recyclable and compostable. Sappi is also exhibiting other new packaging papers for the food industry: for example its Fibrecar MT and Delicon papers – specially developed for food products.
Examples of high-quality packaging for premium products will be presented as well, which were produced with Sappi’s Algro Design premium cellulose board.
